Overview
This body of work was created during a 10 week internship program with the Hexbug Industrial Design team.
Mechanical Bugs
Using the original piece of mechanics as a base to create a kraken design around that allowed for the desired movement of multiple legs moving in different directions simultaneously. Based on a combination of real world squids and octopuses, a design was created to invoke a mythical being.

Junkbots
The Junkbots series, a collection that encompasses the idea of "mystery box" and "build-your-own" toys, by having a random assortment of "junk" pieces that encourage children to create their own designs or suggested characters using pre-made pieces similar to Legos. These new characters were designed using a combination of established and newly designed pieces.
